This appears to be about a 6000 foot runway. That used to be a quite respectable length for a commercial jet airport. I'd certainly think that could support fighter aircraft as well as light transports.

Probably short term mission use. They would probably not be stationed at the base but during the days sorties they can land take on fuel and munitions have light maintenance performed, grab a bite and take a leak then off they go to do more war crimes. When the days flights are finished the planes fly back to the home base, the fuel trucks leave along with the support people radar trucks etc. That way if Ukraine hits it during the night all they are doing is tearing up some portable shelters.
